DW – 79 Wax Based Heavy Duty Corrosion Protection Coating
It is a specially formulated wax type corrosion protection coating for short to medium term indoor and outdoor protection of components etc. It leaves a waxy film capable of withstanding severe moisture and humidity etc. providing protection against rust and corrosion up to 12 months. This is a specialty type of coating that can be removed by soap and hot water spray gun (water temperature more than 85◦C)
Description
AREA OF APPLICATION
- Protection of Drill Pipe, Drill Collar, Mud Skip Baskets, Tools and other equipment etc. in Oil Exploration Applications.
- Protection of machinery, structural steel, overhead crane rails, conveyor systems, loading dock equipment etc.
- Effective corrosion shield for overseas shipments, winterizing of farm machinery in outdoor storage.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Ensure that the surface to be coated is clean, degreased and dry. (Use Mosil SPRAY – 18 if necessary for cleaning and degreasing). Shake the container of DW – 79 thoroughly. The product can be applied by brush, or by dipping. Allow the film to be dried for at least 20 – 30 minutes prior to applying an additional coat to get a thicker coating.
