FG – 100 Food Grade Grease

MOSIL FG-100 is virtually odourless, colourless, and tasteless lubrication grease made from a Specialty oil using an anhydrous calcium soap thickener. Extreme care is taken throughout the manufacturer to protect its purity. If any incidental contact with food occurs, the grease will not affect the colour, odour, or taste of the product. The ingredients of the grease meet the requirements of 21 CFR 178.3570.

MOSIL FG – 100 contains an FDA approved oxidation inhibiter which gives the greases high stability against chemical changes. It also contains an FDA approved rust inhibitor. It protects bearings subjected to wet conditions (e.g., high humidity, water washing, steam, etc.). It also protects during periods of machine idleness. It resists water washout and provides a seal for the bearing against the entrance of water, or fruit and vegetable juices. Because it is compatible with beverages and food juices, it maintains his consistency. And because it is shear-stable, it also maintains its consistency when it is severely worked in the bearing.

AREA OF APPLICATION

Multipurpose and can be used for all grease applications in a food processing plant where non-EP, multipurpose greases are suitable

For use wherever, food and feed products may be subjected to incidental contact with the lubricant. FDA regulation requires that food handling equipment is operated with good manufacturing practices to keep the amount of lubricant in the food below 10 ppm.

Will satisfactorily lubricate most machinery and equipment used in producing, manufacturing, packaging, processing, preparing, treating, transporting, or holding food. Suitable for plain and anti-friction bearings, slides, guides, and other moving parts.

Can also be used where no contact with the food is expected. In most cases, the grease of unknown or questionable purity can be eliminated.

For lubrication and sealing of cocks and seals, even for lubrication of cocks in breweries. For all grease lubricated machinery in canneries, beverage bottlers and canners, potato/corn chip processors, candy manufacturers, meat and poultry packers, frozen food processors, and other food producers and processors. They are specifically recommended for critical applications where there is a possibility of the lubricant becoming an incidental or accidental food ingredient.
