SPRAY – 225 PTFE Coating
It is a colloidal dispersion of White Dry Lubricants like PTFE etc. in Aerosol form. This is a clean, non-staining, non-oily lubricant which makes it an ideal choice where incidental contact is likely to create problems.
Description
AREA OF APPLICATION
- Boundary Lubrication: For lubrication of surfaces in which the relative motion is too small to allow the formation of an oil film
- Wear-in: Protection against galling and seizure of newly machined surfaces e.g. cams, slides and ways, valves, sleeves, splines, ball pivots
- Press Fitting: To reduce pressures required and prevent galling and seizure e.g. antifriction bearings, splines, keyed shafts, sleeves
- Release Agent: Prevents material from sticking together as in moulding and casting
- Cold Metal forming: To reduce friction and heat, lengthen life and prevent pick-up on punching and forming dies and all types of cutting tools.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
It should be applied by gently pressing the knob of the aerosol tin keeping the face of the knob such that the extension tube connected to the knob opens directly in front of the component to be lubricated
